The area was formed in September 1962 by Cyril Starr, who became the area’s first Chairman. The area has always been well supported with good membership numbers.

Monthly dinner meetings have been held at various locations in the County before moving to the current venue of the The Red Lion at Brafield On The Green.

The area has arranged various social functions over the years including Medieval Banquets, Race Nights, BBQ suppers and Stag Nights as well as the annual ‘Black Tie’ Ladies’ Evenings now held in October each year.
