Bristol Area

Bristol area was formed in the early 1970s as the Bristol & West Area, but only became recognised within the organisation in 1975.

Lancs valley

Lancashire Area

The East Lancs Area of the Transport Managers’ Club was formed in 1948. The Area was renamed in 1991 and the word “East” deleted from its title to what is now known simply as “The Lancashire Area”

Manchester Area

Manchester Transport Managers’ Club was formed in 1947 under the Chairmanship of Mr. A.E. Babbs, with 28 members.

Susex Area

Sussex Area was formed in 1970 under the Chairmanship of J Harrison.The first monthly meeting was held at The Royal Court Hotel in Shoreham-by-sea.

Northampton Hall

Northampton Area

Area Contact

The area was formed in September 1962 by Cyril Starr, who became the areas first Chairman. The area has always been well supported with good membership numbers.

South Lincs Area

The area was formed in 1974 in Spalding by an ex London member, Frank Hands. Although the first meeting was attended by only 8 people, word quickly spread and by the early 1990s membership had reached over 100.

The area was formed in 1964 by a group of transport managers who had previously been travelling to Newcastle Area, thus saving time and expense.

Stoke Area originally started out as The National Guild of Transport Managers, but in 1975 became recognised within the National Transport Managers’ Club.
