Busy Night for lancashire February Meeting

Lancashire Area February meeting and presentations

Lancashire Areas February meeting proved to be a busy one with a talk given by the North West Blood Bikers and not just one but three presentations.

Again Due to the delays inflicted on us by Covid the North West Blood Bikers gave an interesting an in depth talk about the work that they carry out.

North West Blood Bikers were chosen by Lancashire Area as the recipients for the moneys collected from our Ladies’ Evenings and other charitable donations collected throughout the last few years, of which resulted in £700.00 being donated to their cause.

And Finally (but by no means least)

Carl was presented with a very overdue but extremally well deserved Outstanding Service Award for all the work he carries out with not only his secretarial roll for Lancashire Area but for all his other rolls as Past Area Chairman, National Chairman and his support for the Lancashire Area and National Club in General. It was a bit of a surprise but I think he was well chuffed with it !!

Delighted and extremely proud to be a Lancashire Area Member associated with this evening’s presentations.
I hope that the donation to the Air Ambulance will be the first of many to a transport related charity confirming that the majority of Area Members believe that the Club demonstrate its social responsibility within the community by financial support.
The presentation of engraved Lancashire Area plaques to Carl Spindler and Fagan and Whalley for their respective outstanding service and support to the Lancashire Area was especially pleasing because, not only were they presented by our new Lady Chair, Caroline, but because they recognised such well respected Members.
Carl has embodied the heart and soul of the Area for many years as its Secretary, Chairman and President along with his recent service as National Chairman. He is a fantastic ambassador for the Club and is well known by everyone in the TMC nationally for his enthusiasm and unstinting service to and on behalf of the Members in addition to being a very nice bloke and great company.
Graham Fagan, long time Member of the Area, and of the Fagan and Whalley dynasty accepted the plaque on behalf of the Company which has operated out of Lancashire for nearly 100years as an extremely successful transport, distribution and warehousing Family Company employing several hundred people It was sad that Graham’s Father, Geoff, another long standing and greatly respected Area Member, who passed away last year, could not be present.
    Best wishes to all Members.

  2. To reply to your comments on the 26th February I would like to say that all members of Lancashire Area have a social responsibility and donate to their own charities with out being reminded by someone else
